Hi, I’m Brooklyn, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO. I work with adults (18+) who are feeling unsure, burnt out, overwhelmed, and disconnected from themselves, often after years of trying to push through the challenges life can bring.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in the mental health field with a variety of communities, including military-connected and neurodivergent communities. Over the years, I found myself especially drawn to supporting people navigating life with autism and/or ADHD, and these experiences have shaped the way I approach counselling today.
As a Queer and neurodivergent person myself, I care deeply about working with people in the neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities. I understand how systems, labels, masking, and chronic stress can shape mental health, and I aim to support you in developing greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and practical ways of coping.

Brooklyn Dawn Shrubsole
I completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Carleton University. Following this, I gained some experience by volunteering as a Crisis Line Responder with the Distress Centre of Greater Toronto, where I was trained in crisis intervention, and suicide prevention/intervention. This experience inspired me to return to schooling, and complete a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Since then, I have found great meaning in supporting clients while continuing to expand my knowledge through workshops, continuing education, and emerging psychological research to provide compassionate, effective care.
